Congkak is a traditional mancala game of Malay origin played widely in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Southern Thailand, and part of Sumatra and Borneo.
The game is played by 2 players, both having a “home base” on each end of the board. With 60 cowrie seashells (included), the players will fill up each hole on their side with 6 pieces of seashells. Each player will have 5 holes on their side to move the seashells. The objective of the game is to move the seashells to their “home base”, the person who gets the most seashells at the end of the game will be the winner. Various rules can be applied to make the game more interesting.
